When you remember this bird is five feet tall it’s like the scariest animal I can imagine running into.

I love these things, they’re so silly looking.

It looks like something that stepped out of Wonderland.

Why are there no more Gardners and Crowleys?

I wrote this years ago. I was so angry in my twenties. I still agree with most of the things i wrote. though I think today, my delivery would be different.

This is really great.

Because this ^^^^^^^^^^ is important.
I thought as much Balrog, but as mentioned, I don’t know birth control as well as I probably should and I can’t use the hormonal birth control without screwing myself up.

Mmmm good to know. Thank you both very much.

How To Make Sigil Chalk form Egg Shells

How to make Sigil Chalk from Egg Shells
I found this awesome article online on how to make chalk and thought it would be perfect for outside sigils. I haven’t gotten a chance to experiment with it yet but I think rather than using food dyes I’ll try to create a natural dye from herbs. Also, if the process allows, I’ll try to grind lavender super fine and add it to the chalk. (But it may not work!) So when I get a chance to mess with this, I’ll post the results!
Here is the article:

Hedgewitchlet: Newblet Bro: Part Two

Newblet Bro battles a dragon-king and wins (with help).

Everyone seriously needs to read this. It is epic. But Bro, why did you decide to do it at school? And even though you say it was dumb, I think it was very brave to do what you did, and especially…

As far as I know, she didn’t notice. At that point, I was like PRIORITY 1 DON’T LOOK WEIRD KEEP QUIET, PRIORITY 2 DON’T DIE. This is an example of screwed-up priorities, guys.  XD

Aww, thank you. Your posts always make me so damn happy. Essentially, I had time then, but I was running out of both time and nerve, and I’d kinda underestimated how hard it would be (obviously), because I was used to being in… the more solid plane?

I thought he was dead for a while, but he came back. I think his dying over here was like an exaggerated version of a human dying the astral—not any fun, but not permanent. That was why we were careful to burn the body, to make sure he couldn’t pull the strength out of it to come back faster. :)

Essentially, the griffins were at war with the dragons. Some of the stuff I did later was to help negotiate the peace. Essentially, with the dragon kingdom in quite a bit of turmoil, the griffin warlord was able to get more safely established, meaning that when the old dragon-king came back, he would be facing a rooted opponent as well as the new King Valran (who’d still be inexperienced). I hope that makes more sense. :)

asdfasdfasdfjka I feel bad I always make you explain things >.< But I do love reading about it. *HUGS*

Mountain Shadows: Newblet Bro: Part Three

brothertothefire:

hedgewitchlet:

brothertothefire:

Newblet Bro accidentally summons a demon and gets his dumb ass in trouble. This story is much shorter than the last, and provides a nice contrast.

So it had been a few weeks since my confrontation with the dragon-king, and I’d grown cocky. I wanted to make more friends like Yiko and have more…

You seem to know a lot about dinosaurs! “Yes, I’d officially GONE FLUFFY.” Ahahaaa this makes me smile :} You are such a great sorcerer, but still humble and hilarious.

But really, this is a good message. I know there are bad things out there, but I often fall into the trap of thinking at least a majority of them are kind or neutral.

Can you not heal your arm? Is healing a difficult thing to do in the otherworld?

I’m sorry if I implied all things were hostile; most things are neutral. Just… think of the otherlands like going to a big, strange city. Most of the people there will probably ignore you. Some will be friendly to you, particularly if you’re, say, buying something from them. Others will be grumpy, but not actually attack you.

What Newblet Bro did was walk straight up to someone standing on a streetcorner and go HEY WOULD YOU LIKE TO COME TO MY HOUSE AND PARTY? while shining with wide-eyed innocence. And, in the metaphor, this person turned out to be a gangster who beat him up to make a point. It could have been worse (if I’d let in a rapist, in the metaphor), it could have been harmless (if I’d grabbed some completely confused person).

You could expect to get shoved and given strange looks if you went up to someone on the street and gave them a huge hug. Likewise, most animals in the zoo aren’t hyperaggressive monsters, but most wouldn’t be happy to have you come snuggle them as you would your pet cat. Some are cruel, and most are dangerous, just not actively hostile. Does that help?

Usually healing is pretty easy, but it complicates in different ways than material stuff. In this case, I pissed off something much more powerful than I was, and she put something in it so it healed crooked. I might, if I studied for a very long time, figure out how to purge the remainders of the poison, and cut the scars apart to heal more nicely, but I’ve been focusing on college, travelling, and other things first. And, meanwhile, it makes a useful reminder to treat the otherlands with respect.

Ahh, that makes perfect sense. No doubt I will make some dumb mistakes, but your posts really, REALLY help.
